Daytona Bike Week is Almost Here!

February 9, 2010

Practically every AMA Racing disciplines will be on full display at the 2010 Daytona Bike Week, from February 27 through March 7. If you’re big into Supercross tickets, then you’ll want to go to Daytona for this landmark event. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is understandably a major presence at Daytona, and Supercross is enjoying an increasingly large slice of the attention.

The historic Alligator Enduro will see the season-opener of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series. Without doubt, every top motocross and dirt-bike rider from across the country and beyond will be there. Daytona and its environs sport some of the best off-road tracks in the world – always a big draw for the daredevil AMA Supercross riders. AMA Supercross tickets will show you a whole new track and a whole new motorcycle race this time in Daytona: Amateur supercross bikers will be racing through the one-of-a-kind Daytona Supercross By Honda course, they will be charging around the new Daytona Flat Track site right outside Daytona International Speedway.

Bike Week in Daytona is one of the must-go-to bike events in the USA, up there with the annual pilgrimage to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. If you love motorcycles, America’s yearly bike meets are your bread and butter – and with AMA Supercross tickets selling as well as they are this year will likely see big increases in the numbers of people making those treks to the beautiful events to see the biggest and most interesting machines.

Motorcycle rallies are considered a right of passage for young riders and old riders alike – and many American motorcyclists don’t see their first Daytona Bike Week or Sturgis Motorcycle rally until their are quite long in the tooth. Don’t let that put you off. Plenty of “old hands” are checking the AMA Supercross schedule and buying supercross tickets, just as many as hitting places such as Laconia Motorcyle Week in Laconia, New Hampshire. If you like to race, you just have to go to a rally, that’s the bottom line. Daytona Bike Week is full of awesome distractions, too, and is probably the most fun of all the motorcycle events. From the early days of the Daytona Supercross, to the Alligator Enduro, not to mention the dirt-track races and the unique Daytona Supercross By Honda course, you own’t have more fun anywhere. Whether you’re pro AMA racer, or an amateur looking for thrills, Daytona will thrill you with the sheer numbers of bikes in town and the inexhaustible attractions that cater to Bike Week!
